Woman with an Editing Bench wins ATOM Award

by

About  a year ago we were involved in a cool short film project called Woman with an Editing BenchIf you know film history well enough you probably know who Dziga Vertov is. If you don’t we urge you to go and check him out. One of the earliest pioneers of Soviet Era films and the man behind Man with a Movie Camera documentary that influenced a lot of people at the time and still continues to influence today. The very interesting fact is that Vertov’s wife Yelizaveta Svilova edited the film for him and so much credit goes in this film to editing.

Woman with an Editing Bench tells a story of Svilova at the time when she and her husband were working on Man with a Movie Camera.  Unlike Man with a Movie Camera, Woman with an Editing Bench is a fiction.

Our team was involved in VFX production for this film which  has won the BEST Short Fiction ATOM Award 2016!

Well done Karen Pearlman, Richard James Allen, Lyn Norfor and the Team!
